Older with patina and much spiritual history, Navajo/Dine' Ceremonial Basket also called a wedding basket in white, black and red colors, a unique 10 pyramid/point design, tightly woven in the traditional manner with sumac twigs to retain such items as a corn meal porridge consisting of white corn meal symbolizing the male and yellow corn meal the female during Navajo/Dine’ wedding ceremonies. This basket has been used and blessed in many traditional Navajo ceremonies. By carefully studying the basket it’s possible to see traces of the sacred ceremony. Note: this basket is unique. 12” (30cm) in diameter, 1 1/2'' deep (3,5cm).
